Extract & Recycle

A junk hauling, recycling and sorting company. We will make it our mission to recycle 100% of the waste/junk we collect. We will work with our clients, which will include households and businesses, to get their waste ready for collection to make it easier to recycle, as well as have a sorting facility to get it ready for recycling.

The United States produces 292.4 million tons of waste (as of 2018 according to the EPA) and 146.1 million tons (about half) of it ends up in a landfill. Also, a major area of concern is the rate at which plastic is recycled, which is only 10%, and the problem with plastic is that it takes about 400 years to decompose. I see this as harmful to our environment, a waste of resources and a primitive way of dealing with our waste.

Over the course of 18 months, I will seek to quickly expand as revenue becomes consistent and a clientele base is established. The company will start with one truck and small sorting space in which sorting will be done by hand. If we are successful shortly after launch, I will look to expand to the rest of Phoenix and the surrounding areas by purchasing more vehicles, hiring more workers, expanding the sorting facility and potentially purchase sorting machinery.
